Studio – My Workspace

Black and white photo showing me, dressed in winter clothing, taking a photograph through the reflective window of a wooden Christmas market booth that is being dismantled. Snow covers the ground outside, and another person walks past a storefront in the background. The scene captures a cold, urban environment with metal barriers in the foreground.

The studio is the central section of this website. Here I present work that matters to me and that I want to talk about. The images shown are occasionally rotated to introduce new work and to document my artistic development.

Individual Work

My individual works usually arise spontaneously from situations that immediately speak to me. These images capture moments that come without planning and, for that reason, possess their own intensity.

Series

When I discover a composition, I develop a strong inner image — a vision of how the finished photograph should look. Sometimes, however, it isn’t possible to achieve that vision with a single image. In that case I pursue the idea through a series of images. A series is complete for me when the selected images fully convey the vision.

Projekte

Projects allow me to explore themes more deeply. I deliberately set goals that push me beyond my current abilities. This creates space for growth and new forms of expression. A project is complete for me when the selected images fully support the theme.

Color Work

As a photographer, I currently work mainly in black and white because it allows me to deliberately shape light, shadow, and textures, enhancing the emotional impact of my subjects. Black and white reduces the image to its essential forms and creates a timeless, intense atmosphere. It is considered a particularly authentic and intellectual form of expression that has significantly shaped the development of photography. Color and black and white are equally important stylistic tools for me, which I use consciously—just as essential as composition, light, shadow, and texture.
