A Personal Reflection
In the summer of 2023, I spent about three weeks in Berlin for personal reasons. It was a hot summer, and I wandered through the city for hours every day, simply trying to clear my mind. At some point, I pulled out my old iPhone and started taking photos almost casually.
Anyone who knows Berlin understands how endlessly rich the city is for photography, there’s hardly ever a “no.” The combination of walking and photographing did me a world of good and opened up new perspectives for me. During that time, I also made the decision to dive back into photography more seriously.
From those weeks, I selected twelve images that capture this period especially well. They were taken with my old iPhone, far from technically perfect, and the compositions could be better, but they mean a lot to me.
Meaningful photographs don’t have to be perfect.
