How Wollborn.Art Came About

In photography, especially here in Germany, there has long been an endless debate—a kind of intellectual sparring over what photography actually is:
Craft or art? And who has the authority to decide?

I usually follow this debate with a shake of my head. Personally, I just want to focus on photographing and further developing my artistic skills – through my own vision, perspective, and personality. In short: in my own way, in my art. And here I allow myself a little wordplay: in German, the term “Art” can have different meanings. Used in the sense of “in my own way,” it also corresponds to the English word “art,” which of course means “art.”
This is, of course, pure coincidence. Honestly!

And that’s how Wollborn.Art was born: a simple, personal name that carries who I am and represents my work.
